DormsHalapitan Dorm – This dorm is a High School dormitory situated in Halapitan, which is the Municipal center for San Fernando in the Bukidnon region of Central Mindanao. Most elementary education can be completed in the local villages, but high schools are located only in certain municipalities and can be quite a distance from some villages. This dormitory gives those students in further regions the ability to complete a high school education by providing them with accommodation. A Manobo couple cares for those students staying there. Sto. Niño Dorm – This dorm was completed and dedicated on November 26, 2000 and is situated in Sto. Niño village located close to a high school and a college area. This dorm welcomes students from all villages, including those without a church, and provides them with a Christian atmosphere and exposure to the Gospel. Contributing to the economic situation, this dorm provides low cost housing for tribal students while they attend school and become professionals in their community. LiteracyThe majority of all Manobo people groups remain illiterate; however, various literacy programs have been met with varying degrees of success. Scholarship programsThere are scholarship and education programs available for Manobo students who are seeking to further their education in a variety of professional fields. This is another way to improve the community as many of these students return to the village and serve as carpenters, mid-wives, nurses, pastors, teachers, tailors, or whatever they have chosen as their profession.
